The Lake Havasu Area Chamber Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Havasu Memorial Walkway to dedicate the First Responders section of engraved bricks. The Havasu Memorial Walkway (HMW) continued its expansion along the channel with a new section to honor all our First Responders. In addition, a new 9-11 History Stone was also installed with the winning essay submitted by Lake Havasu High School student Haley Bartel. All are welcome to add new bricks to the walkway for friends, loved ones, or an event. Visit www.havasumemorialwalkway.org. Attending the ceremony from left to right were Virgi Bondi, Sisto Sandoval (Chaplain), Russ Mascari – LHC Marine Corps League Det 757, Mayor Cal Sheehy, Jeff Harran – Fire Dept., Dan Doyle – Police Chief, Ed Trafecanty – Sheriff’s Dept., Donna McCoy – City Council, Tom French - FDNY, Gary Meyers – HMW, and Lucky Atkinson.
