The Lake Havasu City Historical Society celebrated 30 years
of Chamber membership this month with a Lake Havasu Area Chamber Ambassador
ribbon cutting ceremony. The Historical Society was founded in 1975, and the
Lake Havasu Museum of History opened its doors in 2000. The museum houses
multiple exhibits arranged chronologically that tell the story of Lake Havasu
City, the history of the area around the city, the story of founder Robert P.
McCulloch and more. Located at 320 London Bridge Road, open Tuesday-Saturday
from 10a.m. to 2p.m. through September 30th and from 10a.m. to 4p.m.
from October 1st thru April 30th. Attending the ribbon
cutting from left to right were Kathie Schuler, Audry Hoyt Melissa Volquardsen,
Terri Colella, Lisa Van Ella, Stellene Matzdorff, Becky Maxedon-Executive
Director, Lyle Matzdorff, Ed Walker, Dr. David Young, Judy Whelan, Phyllis Wagner,
Eileen Reed, and Lucky Atkinson.
