Painless Performance Conversations Simplified at Chamber of Commerce Workshop

Most everyone encounters unpleasant moments in the workplace. Whether it is a conversation with the boss, or if you’re the boss and you need to deal with an employee issue, the conversation can be difficult. The Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce March special Workshop, “Painless Performance Conversations – A Practical Approach to Critical Day to Day Workplace Discussions” will help area businesses learn to finesse those situations and get back to business.

The workshop will be held in the Sunset Room at the London Bridge Resort on Thursday, March 7 beginning with continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. The program concludes at 4 p.m. and includes lunch.

Program facilitator is Marnie E. Green. Green is the nation’s go-to expert in the development of leaders. An author, Green has penned two books on dealing with difficult workplace conversations. She has trained public and private sector organizations over the past 25 years including the cities of Las Vegas, San Jose and Honolulu, special districts in the Phoenix area and the Bureau of Land Management; also corporate clients like Charles Schwab, Nationwide Insurance and the World Health Organization in Geneva. She holds a bachelor and master’s degree from Arizona State University and is also a graduate of Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government’s Art and Practice of Leadership Develop0ment residency program.

The workshop is part of a six-session series of the Chamber’s Advanced Havasu Leadership Development Program with this session being offered also to Chamber members and the general public. Tuition for the day is $99 for Chamber members; $129 General Admission; and $59 for Havasu Leadership Development graduates.

Green’s two books will also be available for purchase at the event.
