Chamber Launches Public Policy Website
The Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce has launched its new governmental affairs website, devoted to public policy issues, legislative alerts and contact information for elected officials. Address for the new site is www.lakehavasuvotes.com. The website is part of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Advocacy Portal Program.
Lisa Krueger, the Chamber’s President/CEO, said the site will eventually contain information chamber members can use to learn about the Chamber’s position on different issues and will also provide direct access to elected officials at all levels of government through an instant messaging program made available through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber will also use this site with its Business Supports Business Political Action Committee as the 2012 elections draw near.
Krueger said at the present time, the Chamber has not posted a large quantity of information but as the state legislative session gets closer in January, to watch for more development.
For information, contact the Chamber at 928-855-4115.
