Detachment Commandant Jack Howe with other Lake Havasu Marine Corps League officers held a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Lake Havasu Area Chamber Ambassadors. The Lake Havasu Detachment with their Color Guard/Honor Guard performs in parades, and other civic functions. They also render military honors for deceased veterans. The detachment donates to various charities in the local community, and also award two $1500 dollar scholarships to deserving local high school students.
