PARKER OIL TEAM CLAIMS GREEN JACKET FOR SECOND YEAR
The Parker Oil Golf Team knows golf – one of it’s two foursomes claimed the Championship for the second year in a row at the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce 10th Annual Golf Open. The winning team took home the trophy, the cash and the Chamber’s Green Jacket, sponsored this year by Yellow Book, for their efforts. The tournament was held Friday, Nov. 2 at the London Bridge Golf Course.
Team members Rick Fuscardo, Dick Webb, Dean Smith and Dane Barrieault shot a score of 62 to claim the honor. Originally, there was a tie for first place as the team of Dan Cunning, Jarrod Lyman, John Arena and Bill Mulcahy also shot a 62. However, officials at the golf course used the Calloway Handicap System to determine the winner that changed the finishing of the top four teams.
The tournament is one of the Chamber’s three annual fundraisers. Moneys raised assist the Chamber in its mission to strengthen and guard the local economy.
“We had a great tournament,” said event chairman Kevin Myers. “We couldn’t have done it without some great sponsors including Yellow Book, and Eyes of Arizona. Our hats are off to the many volunteers who also made the day a great success,” he added.
