Winner’s Good Feeling Leads to Harley Success
Precious Olson had a good feeling when she purchased her ticket for the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce Happy Harley Days drawing last month. In fact, upon arriving at the event last Friday evening (Sept. 28) she told Marcia Kellison, event chairwoman, that she was going to win. That good feeling turned into reality when the last ticket drawn was that of Precious and Paul Olson.
The Olson’s are owners and operators of A-Plus Concrete.
“This year’s event was extremely successful and a lot of fun for all the participants,” said Lisa Krueger, the Chamber’s President and CEO. “The theme of ‘Back on Black’ was reflected throughout the drawing from the color of the motorcycle to our menu, which included Angus cheeseburgers in honor of AC/DC’s guitarist Angus Young.” (AC/DC is the band that took the song Back in Black to the top of the rock charts in the 1980’s).
“We are so happy for Paul and Precious. They held onto that ticket even though they could have sold it near the end for several thousand dollars. Precious intuition definitely paid off,” Krueger added.
This was the 11th consecutive year the Chamber has held the Harley drawing as one of its three annual fundraisers. Net profits raised at the event assist the Chamber in its mission to create and enhance a strong local economy. Over 65 Chamber member businesses contributed to the evening’s success with various sponsorships.
